FINAL PROPOSAL

The chosen song is Decline by Raye and the narrative will follow a broken relationship. The lyrics explain the feelings that the girl is going through “I decline your call all the time “Cause you tried to play”. The shots will roll from past to present within the relationship and to what is happening now, small parts of the video will be flashbacks of when the couple was living the best part of their relationship. The clips will then change the present and then back to the past where the boy is being disloyal which then leads to the reasoning of the song. The majority of the song will be set on the phone, as the song is called Decline, based around a phone call as she has finally stopped declining his calls to tell him that she has moved on and exactly how she felt. The main message for the video is that the girl is still happy, she is still smiling with confidence, the meaning is that if even you have been hurt or knocked down to get back up and stay strong. Filming will take place in a number of locations to set the scene, therefore, it is set in a house that will show the relationship blossoming when they were at the peak of their relationship. The concept of cheating will take place within Westminster college where the relationship is destroyed after the girl has been cheated on and then moving onto the present where the girl has gotten over the relationship and is being her independent self.

The roles and responsibilities within our music video will be shared equally, each member of the group will be featured with an acting role within the video as we feel that this is a more reliable source rather than casting, in such a short period of time will use time efficiently by being our own actors. The other roles will follow:

As we will all be acting the role of the cameraman will be shared as we all have the capability and skill set this won’t be an issue but we have assigned Lauren and Shaan to be the main two people on the camera. Also, we will all pitch in and overlook the editing to pitch our ideas within how the video is being edited, for example, the style.
