Setting

The mafias are wearing typical old fashion clothing following the conventions of modern fashion at the time. This portrays that they are wealthy men who come across as being very suspicious. This is evident during the trailer when we can see the mafia gambling. This shows the audience that they are men of class.

In the trailer they use low key lighting as a way to portray darkness which illustrates sins. This can be shown when the boot of the car opens with a dead body inside. Furthermore this suggests that they could be hiding the body from surroundings. Therefore, the audience begins to understand the criminal’s characteristics.

Within the trailer the criminal in the lift seems to be very relaxed and ends up hurting the other 2 people in the lift. The smirk on his foreshadows that he is going to commit he something bad without any guilt. This shows that believes it something normal to do, in addition enabling the audience to not build trust towards the characters actions.

Throughout this whole trailer, they use their props in a bad way but also use it to their advantage to get work done. We can see this when they wear dark/black clothing to cover a bit of their identity so that they don’t stand out to people in society. Also, more props they used were guns, money and alcohol, which can show that they are bad people with different ideology.

Within the trailer the setting can be seen to be recorded within some deserted areas to illustrate that the mafia could be up to no good. This is evident when someone got ran over in broad daylight, which can suggest to the audience that they are fearless characters and don’t worry about the consequence that comes along with the crime that they committed.
